However, it’s not always the easiest vegetable to get all members of the family to try (we are looking at you picky eaters)! We’ve found that there’s not many things that can’t be improved by adding a bit of bacon. Asparagus is no exception. This Bacon Wrapped Asparagus is a dynamite recipe to try. It’s not complicated but it gives you flavors you won’t soon forget.
The great thing about asparagus is it’s low in calorie but it has a lot of nutrients like vitamins, fiber, and potassium. It’s not super expensive and it’s easy to prepare. Bacon Wrapped Asparagus
Ingredients
- asparagus spears trimmed
- Garrett Valley Farms Organic Classic Dry Rubbed Bacon
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- salt
- pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Gather spears, 2 to 4 together depending on how thick they are, and hold them together in a single bundle. Wrap bacon around the middle of each bundle, overlapping the ends so they won't unravel.
- Place the bundles on the baking sheet, seam-side down. Drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle salt and pepper.
- Baking in the oven until the bacon is crisp and the asparagus is tender, about 25 to 28 minutes, depending how you like your bacon.
