The weather keeps getting chillier around here. Which means our families are looking forward to warm meals to heat up our evenings. This is the perfect kind of weather to bring out the big soup pots. Homemade soup may take a bit of extra time. However, it’s worth the time and effort for delicious meals! It just hits the spot! We’ve tried a lot of different soups, but right now Ham and Pea Soup is our current favorite!

If you’re a fan of peas, this is definitely the soup for you! We used Garrett Valley Farms Black Forest Ham Nugget in our recipe, but you can also use leftovers from our holiday ham if it’s that time of year! Either option comes fully cooked and ready to eat. Both have strong flavors that will enhance the soup even more! As per usual, they are also gluten free and made without antibiotics or preservatives. You can trust our ham to not only be good for your family, but to always taste great!

Recipe Tips:

Try using an immersion hand blender if you like your soup to be extra smooth.
